Coffee origins
El Buho, meaning “The Owl,” is a washed sugarcane decaf coffee sourced from farmers across Colombia’s Huila and Tolima regions. Grown in high-altitude conditions and produced from Arabica varieties including Castillo, Caturra, and Colombia, this coffee offers a naturally sweet and balanced Colombian profile without the caffeine.
Decaffeinated using the Ethyl Acetate process, commonly known as the sugarcane method, El Buho is gently treated with high mountain spring water and naturally derived ethyl acetate from sugarcane. This process removes caffeine while helping preserve the coffee’s natural structure, aroma, sweetness, and character.
The result is a clean, smooth, and approachable decaf with comforting notes of toasted nut, berry, maple syrup, and citrus. It is a single origin Colombian coffee designed for those who want all the flavour and quality of speciality coffee, without compromise.
